We can now confirm that Tashi’s next public appearance will be at the 28th Epiphany Meet which takes place at Mondovi in Piedmont, Northern Italy, around 80km south of Turin, from 8th-10th January 2016. And already she is gaining the attention of the local press in Mondovi where a Tibetan flag hangs from the Old Town Hall as a sign of the city’s solidarity with the people of Tibet. We look forward to good weather and to meeting everyone in Italy!

Below is an English translation from the Provincia Granda  :-

MONDOV√Ć (g.sca.) – Among the crews, there will also be a spectacular balloon Tibet. It is a treat, not just because it is very beautiful and colourful, but because it has an important political and social significance. At the 28th International Meeting of the Epiphany, in Mondovi, there will be “Tashi”. It is owned (and controlled) by Paul Dopson, 45, and his wife, Heaven Crawley, 44, of Stroud in Gloucestershire (they took the patent in Mondovi, by John Aimo). Flying with the balloon hoping it can draw attention to Tibetan issues and raise money for charity working to support the cause of Tibet. They had to face many political problems in different countries in which they are presented and which was followed by formal protests by China, it has always been problematic in relations with the country of the Dalai Lama. A Mondovi the Tibetan flag (at the request of monregalese Sergio Bruno) waving from the balcony of the Old Town Hall.
