It was a busy weekend for the Tibet Balloon with Tashi tethering in front of a group of special friends and supporters on Saturday evening before travelling to Wales for a spectacular flight.
This was Tashi’s first visit to Wales which is part of the United Kingdom but maintains its own separate identity language and flag. This is the vision that many Tibetans have for their own country.
Tashi took off from a farm in Pembrokeshire and crossed the beautiful Preseli Mountains at 6000ft in sight of Cardigan Bay landing safely after ninety minutes several fields before the coastline and the Irish Sea. This was the longest and highest flight that Tashi has made since she first took to the skies in France in July and it was wonderful to see her high above the clouds for the people of Wales to see.
The pictures below were taken from an accompanying balloon and we thank the pilot for sharing them with us.
